Hello! How are you?!
I have a question for you: When can I use 'if' and 'whether' in sentences ?!
These two words are similar, therefore I don't know when I should use these two words.
I hope that you can help me.
Thank you.

Hello,
If is used in a conditional sentence:
I will buy that dress if I have enough money
I will go out if it doesn't rain
Whether is used when there is an alternative, an option, yes or no, there's a doubt:
I don't know whether she is coming
I am wondering whether I'll meet him next week

Hello!
Whether is more formal so if can replace whether most times.
However, we do not use "if" with sentences like "Whether he be rich or not, I don't care".
Some results from the site about whether Link
See you!
