    Aide/Concordance des temps
    Message de sharecan posté le 14-06-2015 à 14:31:25 (S | E | F)
    Bonjour,
    D'avance merci.

    Bonjour,

My life became beautiful when I decided to be happy.
My life became beautiful on the day when I decided to be happy.
My life became beautiful on the very day when I decided to be happy.
My life became beautiful as soon as I decided to be happy.
No sooner had I decided to be happy than my life became beautiful.

    Merci !!!
-qu'on dit "the day WHEN I decided" et non "the day I decided"
-qu'on utilise "became" plutôt que "has become"
The day when I decided (...), my life became (...)"

C'est tout à fait ce que je pensais, la phrase initiale était "The day I decide to be happy, my life has become (...)", qui pour moi est tout sauf de l'anglais, isn't it ?

    Bien cordialement, best regards

    hello,
The day I decide to be happy, my life will become beautiful serait correct.Anglais familier mais correct.
My life will become beautiful when I decide to be happy.
My life will become beautiful as soon as I decide to be happy.
My life won't become beautiful until I decide to be happy.
My life won't become beautiful unless I decide to be happy.
My life won't become beautiful if I don't decide to be happy.

I will be happy when I stop smoking.(complément de temps)

Un cran plus haut, cela donne:
He said he would be happy when he stopped smoking.

He was happy when he stopped smoking.

When is he coming ? Tell me when he is coming.(COD)
When did he come ? Tell me when he came.
When will he come ? Tell me when he will come.

il y a des pronoms relatifs speciaux: the time when, the day when, the reason why, the place where.
Many people remember exactly what they were doing on the day when Kennedy was shot.

Dans cette phrase: My life became beautiful when I decided to be happy. l'action est datée, donc prétérit obligatoire.
My life became beautiful in 2010, when I decided to stop smoking.

My life became beautiful on the day when I decided to be happy.
My life became beautiful the day I decided to be happy. passe en langage plus familier.

My life has been beautiful for five years, since I stopped smoking.

    Hello !
More lenient than you are, I'd applaud to 'on the day I decided...'
