    Hello Here4u
    Here is my work

    1) He is still a convalescent ,consequently he needs a lot of rest and help.

    2) We'll hold the meeting upstairs since the room is large enough. Therefore, in case of problems
    we will stay downstairs

    3) There are good wines in Burgundy unfortunately their prices are very high.

    4) Mrs Brown had three cats, one of whose is loved by Mr Keagan

    5) Very well done !You've made much progress these last few months ! Your friends didn't and there's not much time left for them before the exams ! I hope you realise that very few employers are prepared to take unqualified school-leavers. Unless they work much harder in the following weeks, they won't get many A-levels and, believe me, the fewer A-levels you get, the less chance you have of getting a decent job !

    6) - You don't need to hurry up , you are going one hour staying and waiting for nothing to do

    7) You should have done your shopping sooner . The store is going to close and you won't be able to eat anything tonight !

8)- He can't distinguish the difference between a" do" and a "mi" , he is deafening me

9 )_ It shouldn't have been any pieces of stone in that cake , I have my tooth broken

10)_ He is said to be the richest man in the city , and the more he earns the less I respect him

Thank you for this new exercise

I am late but it is better late than never
    Icare

)(Pfffff...)

    Hello !
All the individual suggestions sent !
'CORRECTION' tomorrow, as planned, if only my computer accepts not to challenge me more !!!

    Hello

Still bogged up in my IT problems ... Hope I will be able to post everything ...

In the first four sentences, starting with the first part of the first sentence (I do insist !) you’ll have to use ‘a link word’ (mot de liaison) to make one complex sentence.

    1) He’s still a convalescent. He needs a lot of rest and help !
He’s still a convalescent, therefore (consequently/that’s why => lien de cause à effet ! )he needs a lot of rest and sleep.

    2) We’ll hold the meeting upstairs. The room is large enough. We’ll stay downstairs ! (2 LW required to make one long meaningful sentence):here, you had to respect the logic of the sentence (,which you didn’t always do ! )
We’ll hold the meeting upstairs provided/provided that/providing the room is large enough; otherwise, we’ll stay downstairs.

    3) There are good wines in Burgundy. Their prices are very high. There are good wines whose prices are very high in Burgundy.(it was important for ‘whose’ to be preceded by ‘wines’ and not by Burgundy !)There are good wines in Burgundy ; consequently, their prices are very high.

    4) Mrs Brown had three cats. Mr Keagan loved one of them.
Mrs B had three cats, one of which/whom Mr K loved ! (Which or whom, depending on how you love and consider your cat ...)

    5)Fill in the blanks with :many/much/few/a few/less/little :
Very well done !You’ve made MUCH progress these last FEW months ! Your friends didn’t and there’s not MUCH time left for them before the exams ! I hope you realise that very FEW employers are prepared to take unqualified school-leavers. Unless they work MUCH harder in the following weeks, they won’t get MANY A-levels and, believe me, THE FEWER A-levels you get, THE LESS chance you have of getting a decent job ! (/8)THE LOGIC of the whole paragraph pushed you to be 'moralizing' and a little threatening in the last sentence ...

You don’t have to/You needn’t/ You don’t need to hurry ! (I really prefered personalization to ‘worth +-ing’.) You’ll have an hour left to wait without having anything to do ...

You should’ve gone shopping before ! The store is going to/about to close and you won’t have anything to eat tonight.

He can’t make a difference between a C and an E ! You’re hurting my eardrums … (no question of ‘deafening’ here !)

There shouldn’t have been a stone in that cake !

He’s said to be the richest man in town … and the more he wins/ gambles/swindles, the less I respect him ! (When you earn money, you’re not to be scorned at !)
