    Meaning a French sentence
    Message de tomha444 posté le 09-01-2014 à 21:48:31 (S | E | F)
    Hi,
I received a letter which includes a sentence here
    - Rien n'impose que cette épreuve soit organisée dans le cadre d'une séance d'enseignement. -
I'm wondering what the meaning especially the first part before "soit".
    Thanks for your help!

    Hello,
it means: this test doesn't have to be organised within a teaching period. There is no obligation for this test to take place during a teaching period.
soit is a subjunctive present tense for the verb to be (être)
