    The missing vowels /16

    everybody!

Find the missing vowels and unscramble the consonants in order to get the right word.

The number of vowels is given in 5 out of 10 answers.

I've learned that the letter "y" could be either a vowel or a consonant depending on the sound. In order to make your work and mine easier, we will consider it as a vowel.

1- To burn slightly. ..... (ccrsh)
2- Bound by promise (especially to marry). ..... (ggdn) 3
3- To twist violently when trying to free oneself. ..... (ggtlrs)
4- To decorate a dish of food. ..... (nghrs) 2
5- A high building of very many storeys, especially in the United States. ..... (ckrrsp)
6- The statement made by a person or people who testify in a law-court. ..... (mttns) 3
7- To utter a low hoarse sound like that of a frog. ..... (rkc)
8- A baby who is still in his mother's womb. ..... (nnrb) 2
9- A movement of air, especially one which causes discomfort in a room or which helps a fire to burn. ..... (gdtrh)
10- To open something locked. ..... (cnkl) 2

    Good luck and have fun!

    Have a nice week!

    So long
