    Passive/help
    Message from angrepa posted on 04-12-2012 at 23:20:12 (D | E | F)
    Hello,

exercise No. 96391 96361 - passive form and segregation in the USA. In the sentence "Segregation was ended...".
Could it be "Segregation ended..."? .
I know that the author wanted us to use the passive, but IŽd like to know if the simple past is also correct.
Thanks a lot for your answers.

    Hello,
    ex 96361

Yes, the preterite would also be correct although the meaning is slightly different.
