    Hello

He is deficient in common sense, or he lacks common sense. Which one is better? The second one. You are generally deficient in something tangible. He might be deficient in brain cells which might make him lack common sense. See?

He helps the poor and supplies them with clothes and food.
He was inquiring to the gate man, or he was inquiring from the gate man. (Generally you inquire/enquire about "something". He was enquiring about the performance from the gate man.)

I was scared of telling the truth. My fear prevented me from revealing the facts. I kept silence quiet all the time the entire time.
I am very sensitive to daylight sunlight. Or my skin is sensitive to daylight sunlight.
I crave for a beautiful skin like she has. I crave the beautiful skin like she has.

Not abstaining dear. He is abstemious in eating burgers, fried rice, and zingers (It is correct). No, a person cannot be abstemious. Abstemious refers to a thing. In this case, "an abstemious diet", etc.
I found him conspicuous of your absence.(The word "conspicious" is not used in this way)
My teacher is vexed with me, I always arrive late in the to class. Is it ok now?
