Subject/object questions

Hello,
Could someone please clarify something about subject and object questions?
Is the following question a subject or an object question? and why?
"Where is your house?"
The answer to this question would be: "Her/My house is in London."
As I understand it, the rules state that if word order changes from question and answer, then it must be an object question. Plus, I have been told that where cannot be used in subject questions. However, rules of object questions state that you need to have an auxiliary verb, otherwise it is a subject question. And more confusing, to be does not take an object.
Can someone clarify?

Hello,
In your question:
"Where is your house?"
the subject is 'your house', the verb 'is,the interrogative word 'where'.
As the interrogative word is not the subject of the verb, you can say it is an object question.
