Bonjour.
S'il vous plaît, quelqu'un sait-il D'où vient le fait qu'il existe des verbes irréguliers, autrement dit quelle est leur origine.
Merci

Bonsoir,
An interesting question. The irregular verbs we have today are the remains of an old conjugation system. These verbs were normal several hundreds of years ago. When the rules for forming these verbs fell into disuse, a few verbs kept their old conjugation forms and they have survived to the present day.
Best Wishes

Thank you for your reply.
Is that all verbs were conjugated this way there at the time.
Because everyone does not accept the same transformation.
Some are repeated. "Bid bid bid"
other changes: "do did done"
?

Hello!
Some verbs seem to come from their German origin:
trinken, trank, getrunken to drink, I drank, drunk
sehen, sah, gesehen to see I saw seen.
Kommen kam, gekommen to come I came, come.
