    Lettre de motivation
    Message de mismea posté le 11-02-2010 à 15:42:41 (S | E | F)

    Bonjour,
Je suis en train de rédiger une lettre de motivation afin de partir étudier à l'étranger l'année prochaine. J'aimerais bien avoir votre avis sur ce que j'ai écrit! Merci d'avance pour vos commentaires!
    M.

    Sir,
I would like to apply for a position as student abroad. I have been studying English for nine years now, and I am currently at the University to get a degree in Language and English civilization. I am actually thinking of doing a master’s degree in interpreting or translation in the following years or enter an interpreting school.
It would be a good opportunity for me to study abroad for a few months so that I would be able to make progress, and become a more fluent English speaker which would enable me to enter the master or the school I want. It would help me develop a broader outlook on the world which would be very helpful if I want to become an interpreter or a traducer and It would also be a good asset when I enter the professional world, showing my adaptability, and mobility.
I already had the chance to spend a few months in England last summer as an au pair, it gave me a good insight of the English culture, and I enjoyed it very much so I really would like to stay for a longer period of time in an English speaking country.
These are the reasons for my applying. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
    Yours sincerely,

    Bonjour,

voici quelques une de mes corrections mais un regard plus avisé me semble pertinent. Peut-être vous faut-il voir dans le texte qui suit quelques pistes à suivre. Bonne chance à vous.

    "Dear Sirs,

I am writing to you as I plan to enrol in your university as a foreign student. I have been attending English classes for nine years, and I am currently preparing for a degree in Language and English civilization. I am actually thinking of doing a master’s degree in interpreting or translation in the following years or entering an interpreting school.
It would be a good opportunity for me to study abroad for a few months so as to make progress and become more proficient in English which would enable me to register in the master or the school I want.
It would help me develop a broader outlook on the world which would be very helpful if I want to become an interpreter or a translator and would also be a good asset when I make my debut into the occupational / vocational world, proving my adaptability, and mobility.
I already had the chance to spend a few months as an au pair in England last summer (pas trop sûre de l'ordre à suivre...) which gave me a good insight of the English ("British" serait moins restrictif)culture. As I enjoyed it very much I already know I will love to stay for a longer period of time in an English speaking country.
These are the reasons for my applying. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

    Yours faithfully,
