Hello everybody !
I am doing my homework but I have a problem with the choice between different conjunctions.
in this sentence :The billing clerk was not able to find the invoice .... the order."
I have four answers : a) or b) and c) though d) but.
In this context, I think that the correct answer is "or" but I am not very sure.
Can you help me ?
Why are other answers are not correct ?
thank you very much.

Hi,
Yes, you're right. The correct answer is 'or'. Be careful with spelling:
The Billing clerk was not able to find the invoice or the order.
Best Wishes

thank you chrislondon
I would like to know why other answers are not correct because there are grammaticaly correct. Is it the context ?

Yes it depends on the meaning of the sentence. Here no other choice is possible.

"And" could have perfectly enter in that case but as you said contextually the situation asks for "or" !
