New Chinese member

Hello everybody!
I am a new member from China. It is the first time that I've joined the club. I am very shy. I can not open my mouth to speak English. So my English is very poor. I can not spell the words and often make grammar mistakes. Could you tell me the best way to learn English? I find it so hard to learn the vocabulary

Hi,
Welcome to the site. I'm sure that you will enjoy learning English here.
Don't be afraid to speak. It doesn't matter so much if you make mistakes. The important thing is to try to communicate.
At the same time you could do the exercises to improve your accuracy.

Not that I mind it at all, but I'm curious as to why so many people from China have joined the site. Is French as well as English a popular language to learn in China?

A Chinese friend was telling me that if you know both English and French in China it's easier to find a good job.

Welcome to the site. I visited China a few months ago and I loved Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Yangshuo and Guangzhou. Have a good time doing English exercises, they are very interesting.

I have the same problem, I am always afraid of making mistakes and my pronunciation is still very bad. My native language is French.
But I am living in shanghai. Let me know if you live in the same city, we could try to meet sometime to practise our English.

l have a same difficult, l don't speak english all time because here in sénégal, french is a official language, but it's necessary to improve your english if you want to obtain a good job

To improve my English, I watch films and read newspapers in English. I choose subjects which interest me because it is too hard to concentrate.

English is very important language on the world, so we have to do our best to learn it. At the first, I suggest you to read all discussion between us and try to understand any new word, in order to improve our vocabulary.
