Bonjour à tous !

Que diriez-vous ?

"What do John and chocolate have in common ?

1. if either of them were the sky, I would be a bird."
2. if even one of them was the sky, I would be a bird."

Il y a une petite différence de sens qui ne me semble pas importante...
Si ces formulations sont correctes, peut-être que l'une est plus jolie à l'oreille ?

Pour tout dire, je ne trouve même pas en français une phrase pour le dire qui soit belle à entendre.

Qu'en pensez-vous ?

Bonjour.

1. if either of them were the sky, I would be a bird." Either signifie n'importe lequel d'entre eux, quel qu'il soit. Vous exprimez une possibilité, un choix.

2. if even one of them was the sky, I would be a bird. Sachant que sans ciel, il n'y aurait pas d'oiseau, c'est bizarre de dire : Si même l'un d'entre eux était le ciel, je serais un oiseau.
Je comprendrais :
If even only one of them was the sky, I would still be a bird. Si même un seul d'entre eux était le ciel, je serais quand même un oiseau. Une obstination, une volonté.
voire :
If even none of them was the sky, I would still be a bird. Si même aucun d'entre eux n'était le ciel, je serais quand même un oiseau. Une obstination, une volonté.
