    Wishes or regret /help
    Message from mohammad51 posted on 17-09-2022 at 13:43:07 (D | E | F)
    Hello
Please guide me with this sentence
The correct answer is as marked by the page (A) ?

    Now I really wish...
    a. I hadn't chosen that course. ✔️
    b. I wouldn't choose that course.
    c. I didn't choose that course.

I astonished how using ( Now ) and followed it by a past perfect
I know it conveys ( regret ) about past events

Does it really mean (He feels now regretted about that course he had not chosen in the past ) OR how ?

Is it correct to use ( Now ) at the beginning of a sentence carrying regret about past events ?

    Hello

"Now" is not followed by a past perfect verb. It is linked to "wish", a present tense verb used to express present regrets about events which happened or not in the past.

Does it really mean (He feels now regretted ... he now regrets his decision not to choose that course.

    Hello

    Sorry, my mistake:

he now regrets his decision not to choose that course. (= He did choose that course, but he now regrets his decision)
