Hello everyone
j'ai trouvé une phrase qui me pose problème :
Will they forgive me to have forgotten our appointment and not to have warned them on time?
Me pardonneront-ils d'avoir oublié notre rendez-vous et de ne pas les avoir prévenus en temps et en heure?
j'aurais mis :
Will they forgive me for having forgotten ( or forgetting?) and not having warned ( warning ?) them on time?
après forgive peut-on mettre TO ou FOR?

Je ferais comme vous :
Will they forgive me for having forgotten ( or forgetting?) our appointment and not having warned ( warning ?) them in good time?
j'aurais mis l'ing , l'autre n'est pas faux.
Par contre, la phrase de départ me semble bancale. Je ne mettrais pas de to derrière forgive me.
Cela me rappelle la nuance entre :
Remember to post the letter, don't forget to post the letter, et
I remember posting the letter, I didn't forget, don't worry !
