    I or Me/aide
    Message de friendly posté le 12-09-2021 à 12:34:35 (S | E | F)
    Hello.
Sorry my English is not very "modern".and I hope you can help me.

What is the différence between :

    " I's me !" and "it's I"(who said that/ who did that).
It is such a long journey" and "It's so long a journey". It might not be too long a journey.

    I am a bit confused ...
    Thank you for your explanation.
    Have a nice day.

    Bonjour
Normalement, le "moi, je, c'est moi qui" français se traduit simplement par l'accentuation du pronom I sujet.
    I did that, not him ! I did that, HE didn't !
Si on doit employer it's, normalement, en langage relevé, on devrait mettre un nominatif, I.
It was I who saw him first.
Mais l'usage courant, populaire sera :
It was me who saw him first. It was me saw him first.
en 1973, à Manchester, j'entendais souvent : It was me did it.

It is such a long journey" sera plus courant. such a + nom, such a + (adjectif + nom).
and "It's so long a journey". moins courant à mon avis mais correct : so + adjectif.
I have never seen such a strong man = I have never seen so strong a man. On cible davantage l'adjectif en phrase deux.
It might not be too long a journey. oui, même construction que so.
It might not be too expensive a car.
It might not be such an expensive car.
It might not be so expensive a car.
The car may well not be THAT expensive.
The car may well not be as/so expensive as that.

    Merci beaucoup pour vos explications.
Donc les deux formulations sont correctes, l'une étant plus "populaire" et plus couramment utilisée. Compris.
