Hello dear Friends!
Voici le nouveau "Playing and working with words", afin de réveiller nos esprits encore engourdis par les "vacances" ... La date limite pour cet exercice est fin septembre 2021. (Ne pas dépasser 60 mots … Merci. )
Je vous rappelle que cet exercice a des règles qui doivent être respectées. Lisez-les bien si vous ne les connaissez pas ! Ce travail est loin d'être un jeu ...
Using THE 8 WORDS given below (the 2 verbs can be put in whatever tenses or forms you fancy but MUST remain verbs!), 2 adjectives or adverbs, 2 nouns and 2 link words, + a given structure and the suitable punctuation, search your minds, think hard and create AN ONLY meaningful SENTENCE. "Easy", isn't it?
- You CANNOT change the nature of the words!
- You CANNOT use two or more compulsory words consecutively!
PLEASE, WHEN YOU WRITE YOUR SENTENCE, PUT CAPITALS TO THE GIVEN WORDS!
Here are the words:
- to OCCUR - to LINK - a TENANT - a SMUDGE - CONSCIOUS - PERMANENT - EVER - EVEN - + employer un past perfect/ pluperfect.
THE FORCE is with You!

Hello Here4U
I couldn't resist playing this game
Perhaps my shortest one ever?
It never OCCURRED to anybody, EVEN to the EVER most CONSCIOUS people, to LINK that PERMANENT red SMUDGE to the TENANT who HAD KILLED policemen. (25W)

Hello, Here4u
I am pleased to participate to your challenge, wich is hard but so useful.
When I moved into this apartment I was CONSCIOUS I had got a bargain, but it OCCURED to me something was wrong,
because there was a SMUDGE on the floor, wich EVEN though I Had EVER CLEANED with the powerful "Clean-o-Stain"
remained PERMANENT, finally this stain was not LINKED with the former TENANT, it was related to...a ghost!!!
It was also very hard to write less than 60 words (even using "Clean-o-words"
Have a nice weekend

Dear HERE4u
At the Baie de Somme, it HAD not OCCURRED to me that, I would become CONSCIOUS, that EVEN , I could LINK, these black SMUDGES to seals lying on the distant sandbanks such as PERMANENT big TENANTS for EVER.39
très difficile cette fois
lE FRANCAIS FACILITERA, SI MA PHRASE EST CORRECTE
Dans la Baie de Somme, il ne m'était pas venu à l'esprit que je deviendrais consciente, que même , je pourrais lier ,ces taches noires à des phoques couchés sur les bancs de sable lointains ;tels que ,pour toujours? des, gros locataires permanents.

Hi everyone,
Thanks a lot for this exercise.
I've done my best.
EVEN if the TENANT was CONSCIOUS when the accident OCCURRED ,He hasn't EVER been able to LINK the PERMANENT and bloody SMUDGE on the ground to what HAD HAPPENED. 29 words.

Hello,
For three years,I'd had a tenant who was particulary grubby. The whole flat was dirty in particular the kitchen whose the walls had permanents smudges.By his fault, even, a gas leak was occured.Have you ever had a tenant like this? I was conscient of this context, so , when i wanted to kick out him, I had to link all the events to do it.

Hello oripeau!
So glad to have you here working with us;
Yet, for your try to be accepted, you should make a few alterations (complying with the rules )
- you're asked to write one only sentence; (one final full stop only is acceptable!)
- the given words should be written in CAPITALS.
- you should write the number of words in your sentence.
I hope you'll do it! THE FORCE is with you;

Hello dears,
Comme d'habitude, j'ai essayé de conserver vos idées, et si possible vos mots. Pour respecter les consignes données, j'ai dû corriger quelques passages (toujours à minima ..) et pour certains, supprimer beaucoup de mots superflus !
- For 3 years, I had a TENANT who was very grubby; the flat was dirty , particularly the kitchen whose walls had permanent SMUDGES; because of him, even, a gas leak had OCCURRED; I was CONSCIOUS of this and to kick him out, I linked all the events; have you ever had a tenant like this one? (56 words) OK ! Il suffisait de retirer les mots superflus …
- EVEN if the TENANT was CONSCIOUS when the accident OCCURRED , He hasn't EVER been able to LINK the PERMANENT and bloody SMUDGE on the ground to what HAD HAPPENED. 29 words. PARFAIT !
- At the Baie de Somme, it HAD not OCCURRED to me I would become CONSCIOUS, or EVEN, I could LINK, these black SMUDGES to seals lying on the distant sandbanks as/like PERMANENT big TENANTS for long or forEVER. TB (j’ai enlevé quelques mots superflus ou mal construits, mais gardé l’essentiel !)
- Dans la Baie de Somme, il ne m'était pas venu à l'esprit que je deviendrais consciente, ou même que je pourrais lier ces taches noires à des phoques couchés sur les bancs de sable lointains tels de gros locataires pour longtemps ou toujours !
- When I moved into this apartment I was CONSCIOUS it was a bargain, but it OCCURED to me something was wrong becse of a SMUDGE on the floor, which EVEN though I Had
- It never OCCURRED to anybody, EVEN to the EVER most CONSCIOUS people, to LINK that PERMANENT red SMUDGE to the TENANT who HAD KILLED policemen. (25W) TTB Parfait !
Je vous rappelle que cet exercice est très difficile. Il est impossible de le faire en une seule fois ... Laissez mûrir votre phrase et voyez comment vous pouvez la rendre plus percutante tout en respectant les consignes ... Bravo à vous tous, "anciens, habitués" et nouveaux !
