    Hello!

    The 8th question.
    Could you help me please?
Is "never had practised" the same as "had never practised"

    Thank you for any reply.

    Hello
This adverb of frequency should be :

    Before the lexical verb.
I never smoke, I often saw him.

So, between the auxiliary verb and the lexical verb.
I will never accept. I have never seen that film.

Before the auxiliary verb when it replaces the lexical verb in short answers or tags.
Will you always love me? Yes I always will.
Do you sometimes smoke? Yes, I sometimes do.

He always complains. Does he? I never do.

    Behind to be.
He is always late. He is often complaining.

In your sentence he NEVER had practised, it would be a form of insistance.

In British English, practice is a noun and to practise is a verb.
