    What a strange question!
    Us is the object pronoun corresponding to we : We are going to the pictures, come with us. Plural of : I am going to the pictures, come with me.
    usage has nothing to do with us. In old French, we speak of "les us et coutumes", old habits, traditions.

    Maybe you meant :
    The USA : The United States of America.
    The US : The United States.
    The States.
    America.

    Perhaps rickermiler wants to know the difference between these two French words...
    In that case 'us' is an obsolete word but is employed in 'Us et coutumes'.
    'Usage' is the modern word for 'us'.
    Anyway both mean 'habit,custom,tradition'.
