    Find the missing vowels and unscramble the consonants in order to get the right word.

    All the numbers of vowels are given.

    1- A type of tree on whose leaves silkworms feed. ..... (b l m r r) 3

    2- Dirty and untidy. ..... (f f c s r) 2

    3- Goods taken from "an enemy by force, especially in wartime". ..... (t b) 3

    4- To overthrow or ruin completely (a person's morals, loyalty, arguments, a government). ..... (b r v t s) 2

    5- To be depressed and mournful. ..... (p m) 2

    6- (Of a bird, insect etc) to remain in the air without moving in any direction. ..... (v h r) 2

    7- To draw back in fear. ..... (l q) 3

    8- The curved shape of the growing moon. ..... (c c t n s r) 2

    9- To sweep, or cause to move, rapidly. ..... (k w h s) 1

    3- Goods taken from "an enemy by force, especially in wartime". ..... (t b) 3 booty

    4- To overthrow or ruin completely (a person's morals, loyalty, arguments, a government). ..... (b r v t s) 2 subvert

    5- To be depressed and mournful. ..... (p m) 2 mope

    6- (Of a bird, insect etc) to remain in the air without moving in any direction. ..... (v h r) 2 hover

    2- Dirty and untidy. (f f c s r) 2 scruffy = sale, miteux, négligé.
    3- Goods taken from "an enemy by force, especially in wartime". (t b) 3 booty = butin.
    4- To overthrow or ruin completely (a person's morals, loyalty, arguments, a government). (b r v t s) 2 subvert = saboter, miner.
    5- To be depressed and mournful. (p m) 2 mope = se morfondre.
    6- (Of a bird, insect etc) to remain in the air without moving in any direction. (v h r) 2 hover = planer, faire du sur place.
    7- To draw back in fear. (l q) 3 quail = trembler, tressaillir.
    8- The curved shape of the growing moon. (c c t n s r) 2 Crescent = croissant de Lune.
    9- To sweep, or cause to move, rapidly. (k w h s) 1 whisk = débarrasser/emmener en deux temps trois mouvements.
    10- To press together and work (dough etc) with the fingers. (d k n) 2 knead = pétrir, malaxer.
