Hello
Could anyone
Thank you in advance
-------
Is the pro-form in this way correct in the sentence in blue ?
I noticed this sentence online someone wrote.
She mothers her plants as she does her children.
I suggest it is better to write :
She mothers her plants as she mothers her children.
OR She mothers both her plants and her children.
OR for emphasis : She mothers her plant as she does mother her children.
OR She mothers her plants as she does with her children.
I think the original sentence is confusing.

Hello
The original is correct, does replaces the verb. Your alternative sentences are also correct, though sometimes heavier.
