    Hello dear Friends!

Voici le "Playing with words" promis pour le 2è week-end du mois ...
Je vous rappelle que cet exercice a des règles qui doivent être respectées. Lisez-les bien si vous ne connaissez pas ce travail qui est loin d'être un jeu ...

Using THE 8 WORDS given below (the 2 verbs can be put in whatever tenses or forms you fancy but MUST remain verbs!), 2 adjectives or adverbs, 2 nouns and 2 link words, + a given structure (you CANNOT change the nature of the words!) and the suitable punctuation, search your minds, think hard and create AN ONLY meaningful SENTENCE.
You CANNOT use two or more compulsory words consecutively!
PLEASE, WHEN YOU WRITE YOUR SENTENCE, PUT CAPITALS TO THESE WORDS!

    - (To) QUARREL - (to) RESIGN - GIRLFRIEND - DIFFICULTIES - ALONE - GENUINE - ALL THE SAME - IN SPITE OF - + une exclamative.

    READY TO BE CORRECTED

    Hello Here4U
This one was the easiest exercise I've ever played with. And perhaps my personal best with 30 words
The topic was so obvious: I think I've read your mind (en plus, l'exclamation m'est venue immédiatement à l'esprit car je réécoutais dernièrement avec plaisir un certain tube des années 80...)

ALL THE SAME, It's SUCH A shame to RESIGN yourself to living ALONE after QUARRELLING with your GIRLFRIEND, because IN SPITE OF the DIFFICULTIES, it was a GENUINE love. (30)

PS : cet exercice n'est pas affiché dans la liste des derniers ajouts, sur la page d'accueil : il faut le signaler au webmaster ou à Lucile

    Hello my dear Here4u! FINISHED!
    Hi Everybody!

    Here is my work:
Using THE 8 WORDS given below : 2 verbs, 2 adjectives or adverbs, 2 nouns and 2 link words, + a given structure, create AN ONLY meaningful SENTENCE, between 30 et 60 words.
    - (To) QUARREL - (to) RESIGN - GIRLFRIEND - DIFFICULTIES - ALONE - GENUINE - ALL THE SAME - IN SPITE OF - + une exclamative.

INSPITE OF herself, ALL THE SAME her GENUINE best GIRLFRIEND preferred to RESIGN herself to going it ALONE rather than having DIFFICULTIES when they QUARREL over nothing : SUCH TIME WASTED! 30 words.

Malgré elle, sa véritable meilleure copine a tout de même préféré se résigner à faire cavalier seul plutôt que d'avoir des difficultés quand elles se disputent pour des broutilles : tant de temps perdu !

Thanks a lot, it was great to succeed in writing the shortest sentence I ‘ve ever made! Here4u, and Maxwell!
Have a very sweet week, and the force is given back to you for marking!
    See you soon.

    Hello, dear here4u,
    Here is my version,
    Ready to be corrected

    - (To) QUARREL - (to) RESIGN - GIRLFRIEND - DIFFICULTIES - ALONE - GENUINE - ALL THE SAME - IN SPITE OF - + une exclamative.

I know the DIFFICULTIES implied in your predicament, because ALL THE SAME would be to me, but RESIGN yourself to the fate:
you were left all ALONE by your GIRLFRIEND, and TO QUARREL about recover her, IN SPITE OF this, would be a GENUINE nonsense, like as if you were flogging a dead horse ! ,48

Hoping you will find it acceptable, I remain wishing you a great week.

    So long
    Joe39

    READY TO BE CORRECTED
Thank you for everything you teach us and for your perseverance.

to) QUARREL - (to) RESIGN - GIRLFRIEND - DIFFICULTIES - ALONE - GENUINE - ALL THE SAME - IN SPITE OF - + une exclamative. 26 novembre
Malgré son affection sincère pour ses parents ils se disputaient , au sujet de l'idée d''abandon de son travail pour partir seul avec sa petite amie et ne voulait pas écouter l'énumération des difficultés qu'il pouvait rencontrer, quand même c'était une idée si extraordinaire  quand même!

IN SIPTE OF his GENUINE affection for his parents they ARGUED , about the idea of RESIGNING his work, going ALONE with his GIRLFRIEND...He din't want to listen to the list of DIFFICULTIES he might encounter, It was SUCH an amazing idea ALL THE SAME!(46)

    Good night,
