    Hello, Dear Friends,

Comme toujours, I’m sure THE FORCE will be WITH YOU !

I)Please, help my student! He really needs you! ATTENTION !
( ! Lors de votre correction, merci aussi de REMPLACER LES FAUTES ET DE METTRE VOS CORRECTIONS EN MAJUSCULES; )
There’s a double standard concerning a woman having armpit hairs and a man having armpit hairs… Should you have or wax? There’s most pression for men these days to do that. As a man, have a hairless body is about beauty and not masculinity. In the case of women, have a hairless body means be beautiful and feminine. So, you can’t be feminine and have body hairs…
Can the choice between body hairs or not be sexist?
    A model who had chosen not to have or wax got rape threads. A rape can be seen as a way to express control. Therefore, here body hairs were considered as something out of control and which needed to be controlled. She had stopped waxing because she had realised that society made her feeling pression to wax, because she was a woman, not because she wanted. She heard «No guys will want you if you don’t have...» or «It’s unhygienic!» Men now! For having his shirt open and showing chesthairs, an actor was asked: «Are you man enough for the hairy- chested revival?» The male body is definitely more visible now: it’s more public, it’s more scrutinized, seen as a problem. Men’s magazines tell their readers that they need to get rid of body hairs and more products are offering to do so;
What role has History plaid in our body hairs attitudes? Archaeologists reckon that cavemen and women were the first to start having, using little stones as havers and tiny little shells as tweezers. That was for more safety so that their ennemies had nothing to hold on to. Also, it was to stop frostbite and louse. The Egyptians considered body hairs be uncivilized. Women would remove hairs from eyebrowns down. The Romans made hair removed more about class and used massive tweezer liking things called «volsella». Later, Charles Darwin taught the public that humans are descended from an ape like ancestor. We lost our fur due to sexual selection. We preferred hairless mates. So hairlessness became common, and in turning beautiful. Through the years, that idea has evolved and with clothes getting shorter, it became more of a focus. Males now have an ideal body image which has shifted from hairy to smooth and hairless.
We need a more neutral and natural attitude and see it as a personnal decision and not necessary as a public and politic statement. If there’s more choice, more freedom and fewer body shaming, things could be different in the future.

II) Find the «scrambled » words or reorder them in these three sentences:

1.. DURNOA the DRWLO, ENM are GIASNVH, GIUCINDLN HTECS, KABC, SEGL and SOBWR. 9
    2. WORRY/ INCREASINGLY/ MEN/ HAIR/ WOMEN/ BODY/ AS/ IS/ A/ AND/ BOTH/ SEEN/ FOR/ 13
    3. EVERY/ GIRLS/ MAN / OFF/ BE/ BE/ YOURSELF/ HAIR/ FOR/ FOR/ TO/ SHAVED/ CLEAN/ NICE/ YOUR/ NEEDS/ 16

III) OPTIONAL: Please, reorder the words or unscramble them in these sentences so as to make meaningful sentences:
    a) A/ LOTS/ HAIR/ HAIR/ GUY/ CHEST/ CHEST/ GUY/ MANLIER/ PROBABLY/ LITTLE/ WITH/ WITH/ THAN/ OF/ IS/ A/ A/ NO/ 19
    b) In the TALS EPOLUC of SAYRE NYLTPE of SLTAECIR have LDAELC for women to stop IOGENVMR and start GIOGNWR. 8

Hello Here4u , and all hard workers , here is my work OK FOR CORRECTION.

There's a double standard concerning a woman having armpit HAIR and a man having armpit HAIR ? Should you SHAVE or wax? There's MORE PRESSURE for men these days to do that. As a man, have a hairless body is about beauty and not masculinity. In the case of women, have a hairless body means TO be beautiful and FEMINITY. So, you can't be feminine and have body HAIR ?
Can WE HAVE the choice between body HAIR AND not TO be sexist?

A model, who had chosen NEITHER to SHAVE NOR TO wax ,got rape THREATS. A rape COULD be seen as a way to express control. Therefore, here body HAIR were considered as something out of control , which needed to be controlled. She had stopped waxing because she had realised that society made her feeling UNDER PRESSURE to wax, because she was a woman, not because she wanted TO BE ..

She heard «No GUY will want you if you don't have...» or «It's unhygienic!» Men now! For having his shirt open and showing HIS CHEST HAIR , an actor was asked: «Are you ENOUGH MAN for the hairy-CHEST revival?» The male body is definitely more visible now: it's more public, it's more scrutinized, seen as a problem.

Men's magazines tell their readers that they need to get rid of body HAIR and more products are offering to do so; What role has History PLAYED in our body HAIR ATTITUDE? Archaeologists reckon that cavemen and CAVEWOMEN were the first to start SHAVING , using little stones as SHAVERS and tiny little shells as tweezers.

That was for more safety so that their ENEMIES had nothing to hold on to. Also, it was to stop FROSTBITES and LICE The Egyptians considered body HAIR be uncivilized. Women would remove HAIR from EYEBROWS down. The Romans made hair REMOVE more about class and used massive TWEEZERS LIKE things called «volsella».

Later, Charles Darwin taught the public that humans are descended from ape AS ancestor. We lost our fur due to sexual selection. We preferred hairless mates. So HAIRNESS HAS BECAME common, and in turning beautiful. Through the years, that idea has evolved and with clothes getting shorter, it HAS BECAME more of a focus. Males now have an ideal body image which has shifted from hairy to smooth and hairless.

We need a more neutral and natural attitude and see it as a PERSONAL decision and not necessary as a public and politic statement. If there ARE more choice, more freedom and fewer SHAVED BODY, things WILL be different in the future.

Dear Here4u , I am afraid I haven't helped your friend as he should be to ,I am conscious I have left many mistakes and done others inside my correction despite my good will.

    Hello there.

Here's my try. Thank you very much.

    READY FOR CORRECTION

There’s a double standard concerning a woman having HAIRY ARMPITS (armpits hair également bon je suppose) and a man having HAIRY ARMPITS … Should you KEEP YOUR HAIR or wax IT ? There’s MORE PRESSURE for men these days to do that. As a man, HAVING a hairless body is about beauty and not masculinity. In the case of women, HAVING a hairless body means TO be beautiful and feminine. So, you can’t be feminine and have body HAIR…
CAN THERE BE A CHOICE BETWEEN HAVING BODY HAIR OR NOT TO BE SEXIST?
    A model who had chosen not to SHAVE or wax got rape THREATS. A rape can be seen as a way to express DOMINATION. Therefore, here body HAIR WAS REGARDED as something out of control and which needed to be controlled. She had stopped waxing because she had realised that society made her FEEL PRESSURE to wax, because she was a woman, not because she wanted TO (or IT). She heard «No guys will want you if you (don’t = non) have...» or «It’s unhygienic!» Men now! For having his shirt open and showing HIS CHEAST HAIR, an actor was asked: «Are you man enough for the hairy- chested revival?» The male body is definitely more visible now: it’s more public, it’s more scrutinized, seen as a problem. Men’s magazines tell their readers that they need to get rid of THEIR body HAIR and more products are offering to do so;
What role has History PLAYED in our body HAIR attitudes? Archaeologists reckon that cavemen and women were the first to start (having, = non) using (ou bien TO START HAVING USED) little stones as RAZORS and tiny little shells as tweezers (as = en tant que ici, like ne fontionnerait pas, non ?). That was for more safety so that their ENEMIES had nothing to hold on to. Also, it was to stop frostbite and LICE. The Egyptians considered body HAIR TO be uncivilized. Women would remove hairs (pour moi HAIRS ou HAIR peuvent marcher. Ca dépend si elles enlèvent quelques poils = hairs ou tout les poils = hair) from THEIR EYEBROWS (down, to remove down ?? The Romans made hair removed more about class and used massive tweezer (liking : non) things called «volsella». Later, Charles Darwin taught the public that humans (are = non) descended from an ape AS AN ancestor. We lost our fur due to sexual selection. We preferred hairless mates. So hairlessness became common, and TURNED TO BE beautiful. Through the years, that idea has evolved and with clothes getting shorter, it became more of a focus. Males now have an ideal body image which has shifted from hairy to smooth and hairless.
We need a more neutral and natural attitude and see it as a PERSONAL decision and not necessary as a public and POLITICAL statement. If there’s more choice, more freedom and LESS body shaming, things could be different in the future.

    FINISHED
    Hello Here4U
I hope you're not going to hate me as I couldn't come up with a "better" sentence, reordering words, than the one you're going to read, which sounds awfully macho, which I'm not.
Besides, I'm stunned reading that a model got rape threats because she didn't agree to shave or wax?!! I hope I'm wrong.
What an exercise full of emotions

    I) Help my student:
There's a double standard concerning a woman having armpit HAIR and a man having armpit HAIR? Should you SHAVE or wax? There's MORE PRESSURE ON men these days to do that. As a man, HAVING a hairless body is about beauty and not masculinity. In the case of women, HAVING a hairless body means BEING beautiful and feminine. So, you can't BOTH be feminine and have body HAIR?
Can the choice between SHAVING body HAIR or not be sexist?
A model who had chosen not to SHAVE or wax got rape THREATS. A rape can be seen as a way to express control. Therefore, HER body HAIR WAS considered as something out of control and which needed to be controlled. She had stopped waxing because she had realised that society made her FEEL PRESSURE to wax, because she was a woman, not because she wanted TO. She heard «No GUY will want you if you don't SHAVE...» or «It's unhygienic!»
    Men now! For having his shirt open and showing CHEST HAIR, an actor was asked: «Are you man enough for the hairy-chested revival?» The male body is definitely more visible now: it's more IN public VIEW, it's more scrutinized, seen as a problem. Men's magazines tell their readers that they need to get rid of body HAIR and more AND MORE products are offering to do so;
What role has History PLAYED in our body HAIR attitudes? Archaeologists reckon that cavemen and women were the first to start SHAVING, using little stones as SHAVERS and tiny little shells as tweezers. That was for more safety so that their ENEMIES had nothing to hold on to. Also, it was to stop frostbite and LICE. The Egyptians considered body HAIR TO be uncivilized. Women would remove HAIR from EYEBROWS []. The Romans made hair REMOVAL more about class and used massive tweezer-LIKE things called «volsella». Later, Charles Darwin taught the public that humans WERE descended from an ape[-]like ancestor. We lost our fur due to sexual selection. We preferred hairless mates. So hairlessness became common, and in TURN beautiful. Through the years, that idea has evolved and with clothes getting shorter, it became more of a focus. Males now have an ideal body image which has shifted from hairy to smooth and hairless.
We need a more neutral and natural attitude and see it as a PERSONAL decision and not NECESSARILY as a public and POLITICAL statement. If there's more choice, more freedom and LESS body shaming, things could be different in the future.

    II) Reorder the words/Scrambled letters:

    Hello Dear Friends!

Encore quelques (petits) grognements …

I)Please, help my student! He really needs you!

There’s a double standard concerning a woman having armpit hair (1) and a man having armpit hair… Should you shave (2) or wax ? There’s more (3) pressure (4) on (5) men these days to do that. As a man, having a hairless body is about beauty and not masculinity. In the case of women, having a hairless body means being beautiful and feminine. So, you can’t be feminine and have body hair
    Can the choice between body hair or not be sexist ? A model who had chosen not to shave or wax got rape threats(6). A rape can be seen as a way to express control. Therefore, here body hair was(1) considered as something out of control and which needed to be controlled. She had stopped waxing because she had realised that society had made (7) her feel (8) pressure to wax, because she was a woman, not because she wanted to (9). (/// end of part 1) She heard « No guys will want you if you don’t shave... » or « It’s unhygienic ! » Men now ! For having his shirt open and showing chesthair, an actor was asked : « Are you man enough for the hairy-chested revival? » The male body is definitely more visible now: it’s more public, it’s more scrutinized, seen as a problem. Men’s magazines tell their readers that they need to get rid of body hair and more products are offered (8) to do so;
What role has History played (9) in our body hair attitudes? Archaeologists reckon that cavemen and women were the first to start shaving, using little stones as shavers and tiny little shells as tweezers. That was for more safety so that their enemies(10) had nothing to hold on to. Also, it was to stop frostbites and lice(11). The Egyptians considered body hair to (12) be uncivilized.Women would remove hair from eyebrows (13) down. (/// end of part 2) The Romans made hair removal (14) more about class and used massive tweezer like things(15) called "volsella". Later, Charles Darwin taught the public that humans are descended from an ape like ancestor. We lost our fur due to sexual selection. We preferred hairless mates. So hairlessness became common, and in turn (16) beautiful. Through the years, that idea has evolved and with clothes getting shorter, it became more of a focus. Males now have an ideal body image which has shifted from hairy to smooth and hairless.
We need a more neutral and natural attitude and see it as a personal(17) decision and not necessarily (18) as a public and political (19) statement. If there’s more choice, more freedom and less body shaming(20), things could be different in the future.

    (1) ATTENTION ! Your hair IS too long. You should have IT cut.
    (2) To shave = raser a souvent, ici, été transformé en « have ». Voir selon le contexte.
    (3- 4- 5) « There’s most (3) pression (4) for(5) men » = there’s MORE pressure ON men… more est le comparatif alors que « most » est superlatif. To put pressure ON someone.
    (7) having a hairless body/ being beautiful …. = le fait d’avoir/ le fait d’être … = GERONDIFS= des NOMS. To have = pour avoir.
    (9) to play , I played, played= verbe REGULIER.
    (10) an ENEMY = un seul N. (mais deux en français !)
    (11) a louse => several lice (même pluriel que mouse/ mice.)
    (12) to consider something to be = considérer être.
    (13) BrowN= brun, la couleur.// Brows and eyebrows. = cils et sourcils.
    (14) to remove = enlever, ôter=> le nom = a removal.
    (15) a massive tweezer-like-thing= a huge thing which looks like big tweezers.
    (16) in turn= ensuite, tour à tour.
    (17) personal= un seul N en anglais.
    (18) necessary= adjectif ; necessarily.
    (19) a political statement
    (20) shame/ shaming= indénombrable.

    Hello my dear Here4u!
    Hi Everybody !

    Je suis volontaire pour l'exercice 1 première partie, et l'exercice 2 !!!
    Voici une traduction possible.
Here4u merci pour ton gros travail !

    Here is my work: FINISHED.

    I) Please, help my student! He really needs you!

    Hello! FINISHED
All right, I'll take part III.
Not hairy as a matter of fact

The Romans made hair removal more about class and used massive tweezer like things called "volsella". Later, Charles Darwin taught the public that humans are descended from an ape like ancestor. We lost our fur due to sexual selection. We preferred hairless mates.
If there’s more choice, more freedom and less body shaming, things could be different in the future.

The Romans made hair removal more about class and used massive tweezer like things called "volsella". Later, Charles Darwin taught the public that humans are descended from an ape like ancestor. We lost our fur due to sexual selection. We preferred hairless mates. So hairlessness became common, and in turn beautiful.
