    Every day/ present perfect
    Message de nawnaw posté le 14-05-2018 à 01:56:01 (S | E | F)
    Hello.
I'm used to writing my questions in French, yet this time I try in English.

I've come across a little bit disturbing sentence today.
'I've thought of you every day'
In my mind, every day is used for to emphasize the repeating action so I would have chosen the past simple.
There is probably a slight difference in the meaning, but I don't get it.
Does it mean it's not the case anymore.
    Pardon me for my mistake(s)

Does 'Think of' is Is 'Think of' interchangeable with 'Think about' ?
    Thank you for your answers.

    Hello
I've thought of you every day' means I've been thinking of you every day, you've been on my mind every day, I haven't forgotten you, it has something to do with feelings love.

I thought of you every day would be a memory, it would be implicitely nailed to a definite period in the past. Althoygh I had a great time discovering th Grand Canyon when I was in the States last month, I can assure you that i thought of you every day.

"Think about it" has a tendancy to mean listen to my proposal, consider it, examine the problem, try to undertsnad my point of view réfléchis-y', it is less about feelings.

Aurait-il été possible d'écrire avec le présent simple ?
Comme c'est chaque jour, c'est redondant donc une habitude.
I think of you every day.
Ou alors c'est pour mettre l'accent sur un sentiment amoureux ?

Oui, le présent simple est possible.
