    Crisis/aide
    Message de funnix posté le 09-02-2018 à 17:27:09 (S | E | F)
    Bonjour,
Je me demande quelle est la fonction grammaticale de 'crisis'.
    La phrase complète :
The queensland government's health department has come under fire for its $1-million sponsorship of the Brisbane Broncos, given its surgical waiting list crisis.
    Merci !!
has come under fire : a aessuyé les critiques (de manière imagée ici)
    Thanks in advance !

    Hello,
    it means:
The Queensland government's health department has come under fire for its $1-million sponsorship of the Brisbane Broncos, given the crisis provoked by its surgical waiting list.

The Queensland government's health department has come under fire for granting $1-million sponsorship to the Brisbane Broncos, although they have to face a severe crisis due to the incredibly long surgical waiting list.

    Bonjour,
    Here is my interpretation:
It's a crisis for the community and the people waiting for surgery because the wait to get surgery is long...presumably because of lack of funds.
So why are they spending $1 million to sponser a sports team when that money could be spent to hire more doctors and staff and pay for supplies to work down the surgery waiting list?
