Singular ou le plural after 'par' ?
Par is followed by the singular when we speak about a repartition,a distribution, when we consider each of the elements of a group.
Je prends 1 comprimé trois fois par jour => every day.
Je produis 3 tonnes de céréales par hectare=> for every hectare.
The plural will be preferred and more often used if we consider not every element but some of them :
Par endroits, la neige a fondu => in some places.
