Verbes transitifs, intransitifs ou mixtes
a ) A verb is called transitive when it can have an object + direct transitive verb, meaning that it is followed by an object ( il lit un livre de Dickens= he reads What? A book ) + indirect transitive verb, it means that the complement is introduced by a preposition ( il pense à sa maman, = He is thinking about whom? His Mum)
b) If it cannot have any complement, the verb is intransitive ( il gémit Ø)
c) Sometimes it can be both transitive and intransitive with a different meaning , it is then called Mixed
